What Is SPC Flooring?

SPC stands for stone plastic composite (also called stone polymer composite) — a rigid-core vinyl flooring engineered for strength, stability, and water resistance.

How it's built

Every SPC plank is a stack of engineered layers fused into one rigid board, from top to bottom:

Why it's the choice

100% waterproof

The limestone core doesn't absorb water, so SPC stands up to kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and mudrooms — plus pets and everyday spills — without swelling or warping.

Stays flat and stable

The rigid core resists expansion and contraction with temperature swings far better than traditional flexible vinyl, so planks stay locked together and flat.

Tough under daily life

A 20-mil wear layer handles foot traffic, dragged furniture, and pet claws far longer than the thinner wear layers found on basic residential vinyl.

Forgiving to install

The rigid plank bridges minor subfloor imperfections and clicks together quickly — a practical pick for contractors on tight schedules and for floating-floor remodels.

Quieter and warmer

The attached IXPE pad dampens footstep sound and takes the cold edge off the floor compared with hard-surface alternatives.

Low maintenance

Routine care is sweeping and a damp mop — no waxing, sealing, or refinishing.
